Dec. 10 - Day started out clear and looks to be a warm. Forecasted highs in Las Cruces is 70F. I saw an unusual blob of dirty air south of Las Cruces around 10 am. It looked to be confined below the mixed layer with a height of just a few hundred meters high. The edge of it showed up at the corner of my webcam starting 9:46 am. By 4:30 pm, it looks like we met and exceeded the forecasted high of 70. The LC airport hit 72F this afternoon even with a infiltration of high clouds drifting over the area. Looking out my window there's a haze over the area. At 4 pm the core site monitors in Las Cruces are reading PM10 of 53 µg/m3 and PM2.5 of 5 µg/m3.
