Feb. 7 - The low for this morning at NMSU was 23F and we warmed up to 56F. The long term average (1970-2000) low for today is 30.7F so we're inching back up to what we usually expect this time of year. We are expecting light southerly winds today.
According to the EPA the AQI is to remain in the good (green) range today.
The day started out breezy at the Sunland Park City Yard station but ended with an evening low wind high PM event. Peak hourly PM10 was 185 µg/m3 at 7 pm with a peak PM2.5 of 53 µg/m3 at 8 pm.
At the Deming station particulates were low with PM10 peaking no more than 69 µg/m3 in the evening.
