Feb. 5-6 - Warming period from the cold from last week. Low on Saturday morning still dipped to single digits (8F) at the NMSU station but the day warmed up spectacularly to 55F. On Sunday the low was 17F and high was 55F. The snow that fell earlier in the week is pretty much gone. The MODIS image below is from Saturday morning and shows a little snow cover in northern Dona Ana County.
The MODIS image below is 24-hour later on Sunday morning and shows no snow.

The following chart shows winds and PM at the Sunland Park City Yard station over this weekend.
The next chart shows winds and particulates at the Anthony Elementary station.
Finally this chart shows winds and PM10 at the Deming Airport station. Winds peaked higher here than at the other stations on Saturday and so did PM10. Based on the winds and wind gusts, wind blown particulates lasted for about 5 hours starting at 11 am.
